Welcome to the rebirth of Fire Flyer!
I’m excited to introduce to you a new and engaging way for CFA members to communicate with each other and the wider world.
CFA has used blogging and video streaming technology to remodel Fire Flyer into a dynamic, user friendly website that relies heavily on your input to make it a success.
Fire Flyer has been developed by CFA Public Affairs in conjunction with the Online Services and Information Technology units in the Asset Management Directorate. Let me highlight just a few of the new features:
- Video streaming – watch footage ranging from fire calls to the latest regional or HQ news updates
- Photo galleries – see high quality pictures from CFA events like the National Firefighters Championship
- Commenting – you can leave comments about individual articles to let us know what you think

Love that it's now on the net
Well done - a massive improvement! The inclusion of video content is great.
Congradulations on the updated Fire Flyer, now the whole "family" can stay in touch not just staff.
Now we just need to provide broadband access to every vol brigade!
The new flyer looks great! Well done. It is great to see the organisation working towards developing information communications technology.
A really good initiative and a much more interesting way to get information about what is happening in CFA.
