Favourite movie and why: This is a very hard question as it depends what mood I’m in so I’m going to cheat and say Out of Africa and Casablanca and a whole heap more.

Most exciting moment? I don’t know if exciting is the right word but living in Bendoc during the 2003 fires certainly had its moments.

Your favourite journey? Travelling around Cuba in the early 1987 fruit picking and getting to see a different society.

I wish I was still a child because . . . time moved slower and there was always something to look forward to.

The best thing about living . . . in Clunes is creating a new garden and renovating our mud brick house. We moved to Clunes two years ago after spending almost 20 years in the high country of Far East Gippsland.

If I win Lotto I will . . . travel with Tony to all the places we have always wanted to see.

If I had to choose another career . . . I would be a beachcomber.

My life’s motto is . . . you only fail if you never try.
