On 10 June 2008 the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) notified AFAC of its official name change to the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council. It will trade as AFAC Limited.
The changeover process will take place over the next couple of months. A package is now being prepared for the Logo and Name change.
The AFAC Constitution will also be amended to reflect the name change, and will be presented for endorsement at the AFAC Annual General Meeting later in the year.
