CFA TV goes international!

CFA has been thrust onto the world stage thanks to the success of a CFA TV report on a crash landing at Point Cook RAAF base in Region 14.

The emergency was captured by CFA Video Image Coordinator Martin Anderson on Saturday April 5 after Point Cook and Werribee brigades were paged to assist a P-51 Mustang that had reported problems with its landing gear.

Since the video was uploaded to CFA TV less than two weeks ago, it has been viewed almost 6,000 times in 73 countries.

The video was awarded the 31st most viewed in Australia honour on YouTube in its first week online, only beaten by videos on the Prime Minister's visit to China, Olympic torch protests, and the US election campaign.

Aviation enthusiasts from around the globe have been praising the video as one of the best of its kind in showing a text-book crash landing.
