Once again street corners around Victoria were particularly busy on the second last Friday in March as CFA brigades raised funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Brigades collected and donated more than $1 million of a record $12,482,000 raised.
Executive Director of the Appeal Christine Unsworth recently wrote to CFA CEO Neil Bibby to express the Good Friday Appeal's thanks to CFA members.
“On behalf of the patients, staff and families at the Royal Children’s Hospital I would like to acknowledge and applaud the fantastic support the Good Friday Appeal receives from members of CFA throughout Victoria,” Christine said.
CFA Chief Officer Russell Rees caught up with Jennifer Keyte at the Channel 7 live Good Friday Appeal broadcast held at Telstra Dome. The Chief chatted with Jennifer about the great work achieved by CFA members during the Appeal and the proud tradition CFA has of supporting it.
More than 50 brigades were involved in this year’s Appeal.
