A project aimed at encouraging more volunteers from ethnic communities in the Outer Metro Norwest Area has been launched at South Morang Fire Station.
The project is being coordinated by Whittlesea Community Connections in association with CFA, the City of Whittlesea, the Department of Planning and Community Development, and LaTrobe Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre.
Members of the ethnic community were invited to South Morang Station where they heard about the rewards of becoming emergency volunteers and learned more about fire safety.
