The Smokies Angling Club is pleased to announce the winners of its 2008 winter raffle.
The first prize, a 3 x 3 Oztrail portable gazebo was won by Dot Austin from Doveton. Second prize, the Oztrail portable beach shelter was won by Blake Proebstl from Berwick. And third prize being two Oztrail folding chairs went to Dave Black from Hallam Fire Station.
Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets; and also to the raffle sponsor, Perry’s Stock Feeds Kyneton, for assistance with the prizes. Secondly, the club has just returned from it’s annual Bream fishing competition at the Tambo River. The results are as listed below.
Thanks to everyone who attended and we look forward to seeing new faces from interested people at our next event which will be advertised through the CFA SRA shortly.
The results for the Smokies Angling Club, June, 2008 Tambo Fishing Comp are as follows.
- Heaviest Bream: Ken Houston 41cm 1.05kg.
- Heaviest 6 bag: Matthew Bumpstead 4 fish @ 2.160kg.
- Heaviest other: Matt Lia 47cm Flathead @ 590Grams.
- Catch Photo and Release Category: Lee Austin caught, photographed, and released a 32cm Bream.
- Point Score Category: David Renkin with a total of 816 points. (1 point per cm of fish caught)
- Mystery weight was set at 437 grams by Kevin @ Bream Lodge and the closest to the weight was Mick Lia with a weight of 450grams.
