Dandenong South factory fire

A factory was gutted by fire in Bryants Road, Dandenong South early on Sunday morning, 30 November. Twelve CFA appliances responded and contained the fire to the one building approx 15 X 20 metres in size.

Fire Officer Robert Cochrane from Dandenong Fire Brigade was the Officer In Charge and he used Dandenong Hydraulic Platform and Frankston Teleboom to attack the fire from above. He also called "make Pumpers 5" in the early stages of the fire. The building contained a large amount of plastic materials.

Dandenong Platform fitted a foam nozzle in the later stages of the fire to knock down a hard to access area of the fire. Dandenong RDM arrived with bulk stock of foam to be used.

Frankston BA Van and Narre Warren Catering also attended.
