CFA joined forces with the Sunday Herald Sun, the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), the Department of Human Services (DHS) and MFB to produce the Living with Fire magazine, available as an insert with the 23 November edition of the newspaper.
The magazine features “everything you need to know for the bushfire season”, with articles ranging from how to devise a bushfire plan to stress management and how to travel safely during the bushfire season. It also features key contact numbers, including the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL).
CFA’s contribution to the magazine included providing community safety advice and information to help residents protect themselves and their property, profiles of various brigade members around Victoria, as well as a joint advertisement with RACV about safe road travel during the fire season.
CFA Chief Officer Russell Rees also got together with his counterparts from MFB and DSE in a Herald Sun interview discussing the outlook for this summer.
If you have missed your copy of Living with Fire, visit the Sunday Herald Sun mini-website on the publication. The site features the magazine content, as well as an interactive bushfire survival guide.
