Foxtel's Weather Channel will be running a documentary about the 2009 Victorian bushfires, with a particular focus on weather conditions prior to and over the Black Saturday weekend.
CFA Chief Officer Russell Rees took part in the filming of this documentary, shedding light on the CFA Fire Index and talking about the intense weather conditions forecast for Victoria over that weekend.
A preview of the documentary, Forecast for Disaster, was featured in this week's Green Guide in The Age.
The program will screen at 6.30pm on The Weather Channel on Saturday, 2 May 2009.

T'is a shame it's not being screened on one of the normal channels, not everyone has access to the Weather Channel.
Would it be possible for CFA Public Affairs to obtain a copy and issue to CFA members on DVD? Many of us were "a little busy" after 7/2/09 and did not get to see much media coverage.
I agree Sue, I also do not have the Weather Channel. Perhaps they may see fit to schedule on the regular channels. Sandra
