CFA recently received a donation of $30,000 from RACV.
Raised at a special gala event held last December, the money will go towards CFA’s sustainable water project. The aim of this project is to improve water availability at CFA facilities. Reach was a joint beneficiary of the night that attracted more than 500 people from across the insurance industry.
Also late last year 17 staff from Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and two from Reach also travelled across the north west of Victoria and visited CFA brigades in Robinvale and Swan Hill. The tour was designed to help RACV and Reach members gain a better understanding of issues in regional areas, including CFA.
Georgia Kalantzis, IAG Relationship Manager Victoria said: "the CFA crew were awesome. Our staff got a chance to wear CFA gear and hop in the fire truck. They were given a tour of both fire stations and found it very informative."
