Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority launched

Last month the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments established the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority.

The Authority is working with communities, businesses, charities, local councils and other government departments to help rebuild communities affected by the bushfires.

People affected by the bushfires will be kept up to date with recovery and rebuilding through the new Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority website.

The Authority is chaired by the former Victorian Police Chief Commissioner, Christine Nixon. The Head of Operations is Major General John Cantwell A.O.
