If you are injured . . . a timely reminder

Coming up to a busy fire season, the unfortunate reality is that some CFA firefighters will be injured.

The message that our Injury and Compensation team want to get out to all Volunteers and Career Staff is very simple - if you are injured and lose time from work or need to receive treatment for your injury then you need to put in either a Volunteer Claim or a WorkCover Claim quickly.

The team members who will assist injured members are:

  • Richard Green - CFA’s Injury and Claims Manager who also looks after Volunteers Claims.

  • Michelle Trotter - CFA’s Work Cover Claims Officer and Return to Work Co-ordinator for all paid CFA Staff

  • Andria Cayas - Claims Officer looking after Volunteers
Volunteers need to get in touch with their Region, Richard or Andria ASAP following an injury and CFA Staff need to get in touch with their Manager or Michelle just as quickly.

The sooner claim forms are submitted, the sooner Richard, Michelle and Andria can get involved and start helping the injured person.

If you are unsure if you are covered, ring Richard, Michelle or Andria and ask the question!
