CFA HQ FRV meeting

CFA members at headquarters were recently treated to their very own Fire Ready Victoria meeting.

More than 50 staff enjoyed some morning tea before CEO Neil Bibby introduced the session. Community Development Coordinator Liz Langford enlightened the group about fire dangers and how to be prepared before and during a bushfire.

Liz brought a street corner in to the Headquarters tearoom including real leaves and bark in her presentation. Attendees were told to imagine Manager HQ Operations, Vince Bosua was “the fire” during the lively display, and Liz’s personally knitted woollen socks were used as an example of natural fibres to wear.

The session was designed to teach staff more about being prepared for bushfire and to keep up-to-date with the latest safety messages.
