Fire began in a building attached to the rear of a residence in Officer Wednesday 16th Jan 2008.
When crews first arrived on-scene, they found the fire had spread to the rear of the house and to adjoining sheds housing several cars and workshop equipment.
Several LPG cylinders were being exposed to fire and priority was given to cooling and isolating these units. The sheds also contained multiple drums of paints, solvents and fuel and as a result several explosions occurred during the firefight.
The Officer Fire Brigade Captain was the Incident Controller.
