Staff and volunteers from Dandenong and Hallam Fire Brigades in Region 8 braved the recent heatwave to test decontamination facilities at their local hospital.
The training exercise was organised by Leading Firefighter Stuart Curnow and Dandenong Hospital to see how both organisations could work most effectively together in the event of a major decontamination incident.
CFA's Health Support Unit was also on hand to assess how the 40 degree temperatures would affect firefighters working in splash suits.
