Do you have a brilliant idea or a particular area of interest that you think could be developed or integrated into an existing program for CFA?
The Emergency Services Foundation (ESF) scholarship scheme provides awards, grants or fellowships for registered members of emergency services and emergency health agencies to undertake research or study in Australia or overseas.
Past CFA scholarship winners have travelled to places such as the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and New Zealand to visit other agencies and equipment suppliers. The scholarship experience has provided them with a valuable network of contacts and exposed them to a broader view of emergency management practices. The travel and research has also been a valuable personal development experience.
Why not check out the information, including a list of previous scholarship projects, on the Intranet or the ESF website.
If you are interested, contact Mandy Burton in Learning and Development for an application form (m.burton@cfa.vic.gov.au or 9262 8216).
Completed applications should be submitted to Mandy Burton, Professional Development Officer at CFA HQ by Monday 19 January 2009.
Successful applications will be announced by the foundation in April 2009.
