A number of CFA staff members recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management, offered through Emergency Management Australia (EMA) at Mount Macedon.

The graduates were Operations Manager Stephen Walls (currently seconded to VICSES to implement AIIMS), Manager Community Safety Bob Flett (currently seconded to the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner) and James Haley, Manager Community Safety for CFA South West Area, who graduated in absentia.

The course was conducted over a two-year period and involved both on-campus study at Mount Macedon as well as assignments and research conducted off-campus. Each participant was required to complete a research project as part of the course.
