Incident Report - Fires at Carrum Downs and Langwarrin, 22 January 2009

CFA crews responded to incidents at Ballarto Road, Carrum Downs and Pindara Boulevard, Langwarrin this morning.

The grass fire at Ballarto Road was is believed to have been caused by a tree falling into the area burnt by the fires that occurred just two days ago, on Tuesday 20 January, and catching alight. Meanwhile, at Pindara Boulevard in Langwarrin, the Pearcedale Slip-on crew worked deep in ti-tree scrub to put out spot fires from the Ballarto Road incident after wind gusts blew embers across.
