Cultural Diversity Week launch

Diversity Week 2009 – Many Countries, Many Languages, Many Faiths, One CFA

Diversity Week 15 – 21 March 2009

Did you know that the people of Victoria come from more than 248 countries, speak more than 289 different languages and follow more than 128 different faiths? Within CFA, we have many different cultures, faiths and languages. Between 17 and 23 March 2009, organisations around the state will celebrate Victoria’s rich cultural, linguistic and religious diversity.

Our organisation is continuously being enriched by the presence of people from all over the world bringing depth, expertise and strength to Victoria’s largest firefighting agency.

Diversity Week Cultural Luncheon - Friday 20 March 2009

To celebrate Cultural Diversity week, the CFA Diversity Unit is hosting a multi-cultural luncheon at 12pm Friday 20 March in the Building 8 lunch room. Everyone is welcome and entry is free.

To take part in this event, all participants are asked to provide a plate of food from a different region of the world to share. All participants are also asked to provide lists of ingredients for each dish to ensure those with any allergies are fully aware. In addition to experiencing this extreme taste sensation, relax and embrace the sounds of traditional world music.

Register for this event by contacting Alex Batty on X8460 or on email.
