Do you have a brilliant idea or a particular area of interest that you think could be developed or integrated into an existing program for CFA? The Emergency Services Foundation (ESF) scholarship scheme provides awards, grants or fellowships for registered members of emergency services to undertake research or study here or overseas.
Past CFA scholarship winners have travelled to the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and New Zealand to visit other agencies and equipment suppliers. Not only has the scholarship provided them with a broad network of industry contacts and exposed them to a far wider view of emergency management, but it has also been a valuable personal development experience.
Why not check out the information, including a list of previous scholarship projects on CFA Online (members only) or at http://www.esf.com.au. If you are interested, this is where you will also find the application form.
Completed applications should be submitted to CFA's Professional Development Officer, Mandy Burton, at CFA HQ by Thursday 17 January 2008.
Successful applications will be announced by the foundation in April 2008.
