A qualified success for CFA staff

Certificate IV in Financial Services participants celebrated the end of their course with a Graduation event on 24 March 2009. The opening address was given by Michael Wootten, Director Finance and Administration.

Michael has supported these courses since their inception in
2005.

The graduates’ certificates were presented by Donald Warren, Developmental Manager, Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT). NMIT delivered the course for CFA after close collaboration with CFA Learning and Development staff to design learning materials, case studies and processes relevant to CFA’s work environment.

This course aims to enhance participant’s knowledge in accounting and financial management practices, as well as in
crease understanding of the importance of financial issues within CFA.

The graduation marked the culmination of graduates’ studies in a range of subjects including financial reporting, inventory and asset management, purchasing, accrual accounting, depreciation and customer service. NMIT’s collaboration with CFA will continue into the future.

Course participants came from all over Victoria; including Shepparton, Casterton, Gippsland and HQ. The group represented a diverse range of experience and backgrounds, and reflected the broad range of people who work for CFA.

Congratulations again to all 2009 graduates of the Certificate IV in Financial Services.
